Description

Yessss cx I finally finished it; all shiny and new, much better than the last few attempts, fav.me/d6880jn fav.me/d68a3gi

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave a comment or note c: I will not be taking critiques. I apologize for the small writing and vague inaccuracies (scribbles, misspellings, and so on); this is as big as Sketchbook Pro would let me have a file, I had to fit it all in, and I lost patience near the end.

---------------------------------------------
description area. all items labeled in likeness to human anatomy for easier understanding; those that have no direct likeness are instead explained in parenthesis.
---------------------------------------------
Integumentary System
skin, hair (when applicable), nails, mammaries (female only).

Nervous System
brain, trigeminal nerve, spinal cord, radial, median, and sciatic nerves.

Respiratory and Digestive Systems
sinuses, mouth, larynx, nacani (for blood, oxygen, and overall waste management; produces necessary oil and mucus to carry toxins out through the pores of the skin), trachea, esophagus, diaphragm, lungs, duodenum, anus, stomach, liver, colon, jejunum.

Reproductive System
uterosacra (contains the inactivated cells needed to procreate; female only), mesovarium (aids in the development of a child; providing the needed nutrients and stimulus: female only), usarin (soft organ to house a growing baby; like a uterus, but more forgiving, and both genders have them), talmisavy (hormone regulator), moot (elastic passage), ptunesan (promotes function of hormones), vresicle (produces hormones that determine fertility, arousal, and preparation for a new life phase; male only), cloani (vent), urethan (phallus; male only), pilin gland (produces hormones that regulate sleep, growth, and age).

Skeletal System
cranium, mandible, cervical vertebrae, kanicu (guards the throat), acromion, clavicle, coracoid, unara (bone on which a child may sit, in the case of procreation), mandibrium (separated sternum), humerus, mura ribs, symphysis ribs, obturator, lumbar vertebrae, xyphoid (another set of ribs), radius, ulna, ilium, ischium, carpal, metacarpal, phalanges, femur, patella, tibia, fibula, caudal vertebrae, sacrum, lateral malleolus, calcaneus, tarsal, metatarsal, phalanges.

Circulatory System
jugular, thymus, subclavia, carotid, basillic (oops, is actually in arm), aorta, pulmonary (this is the one above aorta), heart, vena cava, heart (only females have this extra), renal, illiac (this is in the hips not the hand; I really need to doublecheck these things before acting like I know what I'm talking about, hehh), femoral, caroutal (umm, this needs to switch with the next one), fibial (switch spots with last one).

Muscular System
frontalis, zygomaticus, oris, mastoid, trapezius, deltoid, pectoralis, bicep, oblique, abdominis, palmaris, carpi, femoris, sartorius, quadricep, vastus, caudofemoralis (this is the tail), tibialis, gastrocnemius (switch with two above).

Eye
oblique, nictitating membrane, sclera, iris, pupil, exterior eyelid, rectus.

Skin
pores, epidermis, fat layer, stratum basale, lamina, dermis, sudoriferous gland, basal, fibroblast, sebaceous gland, subcutaneous layer.

---------------------------------------------
wing anatomy
---------------------------------------------
Skin
stretchy, soft, thin

Peridia
spongy substance that fills with a methane-like gas as well as heated oxygen to aid in flight; the gases are in separate layers of tissue to prevent overheating and eventual combustion of the methane; shape the tissue takes is unique to the person, but it generally doesn't allow much lone-membrane stretching between bones; is very soft, almost plush, but pulls the skin taught when completely inflated; think like the softest cake, then add tons more bubbles and air; when wing is completely gas-free, this tissue compacts to about the size of a shoe, exact dimensions depending on the individual; cannot have weight on it when inflated, as that is likely to break it down and cause permanent damage.

Muscular
brachi (this is a muscle), seldoid (this, too, is a muscle), sartorius (another muscle), digitorum (oh look, a muscle), flexorcarpi (many muscles).

Skeletal
middle eluphalanx (second "finger" bone), harutu (a bone connecting the different joints of the wing), proximal eluphalanx (first "finger" bone), uluta (multi-directional socket), symphysis rib (not sure why there are two grey lines on this one, but it's pointing to the back of the skeleton below the scapula), hurata (actually the bone that the "symphysis" writing is marked as; this lower bone is actually called feluphalanx), scapula.

Side View
wing, arm, tail, dersterme (skin that stretches from the legs to the tail and wings), leg.

---------------------------------------------
nae (singular: nia)
---------------------------------------------
a small mark on the skin, usually on one or the other shoulder, though occasionally on a hip or knee; religious leaders believe that they spur from the spirit of the individual touching the soul of the planet. the scientific explanation says that the blood vessels beneath the skin burst and scar because of hormones during puberty, and maybe even radiation exposure. it is said that they mark which path one should choose in life, and those who believe must have their nia examined during a spiritual retreat by a licensed reader; this reading is recognized by the community, and the individual may be counted as more suitable for an occupation in accordance with their nia, despite inexperience.

Cuna
the most common; takes the shape of a pair of hands, a flower, feather, or other horizontal pattern; many colors may be in its pattern, and veins pouring out of the skin pigment. It is said that one carrying this mark would be a person of thought, reverence, and hard work.

Wauna
often comes in the shape of a weapon, bird, or a figure looking upward; may sit more in the warm tones, though some purple may show through, and very little veins. It is said that one carrying this mark would be a protector of persons, and unconditionally loyal to those they deem as friends.

Rana
highly uncommon, though often found repeated in certain family groups; it comes in the shape of a long-necked animal, boat, or two segments holding hands; usually leans toward the more red, orange, and pink, with many prominent veins below the surface of skin. It is said that one carrying this mark would be a leader of men; sober in their choices, and kind in all they do.

Veruna
only found in large and long-running families of Rana; often takes the likeness of two boats, an animal with wings, or a shape folding in on itself; most likely to be purple and blue, with very few veins.
It is said that one carrying this mark would be wise in all they do and say, endure many things with a glad heart, and cling to those they find most dear.

8/10-13/16; drawn with pencil and pen, scanned, then colored and labeled in SketchbookPro; an abundance of references used of which I don't really want to link because I mostly glanced and moved on to another one, google image search the different systems and anatomy terms to get an idea of what I mean.

Amazing, brilliantly detailed work! I like how many of the organs don't exactly correspond to vertebrate organs on Earth. :D (Big Grin)
