Rukuskarukas (ruh - kus - kah - ROO - kahs) is the third-level Vacutant Rukant (captain) of a scow-class ship called Fiery Deliverance. She was raised in a small farming area on Zoconchra, but was sent away to military school when she was very young. She climbed the levels quickly, but soon got bored, and went off to be a mercenary and smuggler. Years later, when the Rebels started to get rowdy, she returned to the military to fight them off, and ended up getting her own command in return. She now goes on errands and missions for the Zoconchren government, much to her dismay, but has no desire to return to the miserable life she once had. She is one of the more-vicious commanders in the military, and is well-known for losing her temper over the smallest of things; she has found a way to care deeply about her crew, however, though doesn't show it all of the time.
